Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is most famous for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
