Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 as an influential political contributor to CNN. She worked on the campaign for re-election of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. Psaki was press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 February 13th, 2013, Psaki became spokesperson for the United States Department of State. The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left White House in the year 21 were fueled by her hiring at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30th in 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
